Privacy Policy

How CODEXA SOFTWARE (Pty) Ltd collects, uses and protects personal information for Codexa (POPIA). Full terms: codexaholdings.com/terms.

1. Merchant identity & contact

Codexa (also trading as Codexa Holdings) is the public brand of CODEXA SOFTWARE (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in the Republic of South Africa. The legal person you contract with is CODEXA SOFTWARE (Pty) Ltd — not a separate “holdings” company.

11. Customer privacy policy

We process personal information in line with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and, where applicable, other privacy laws.

What we collect

  • Identity and contact data you submit (name, email, role, country, messages)
  • Billing identity and transaction metadata from PayFast (we do not store full card PANs)
  • Licence / device entitlement data needed to issue and validate keys
  • Basic technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention
  • Email engagement related to transactional mail (trial keys, receipts, service notices)

Why we use it

  • To provide trials, licences, downloads, studio work and support
  • To take and confirm payment and prevent fraud
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting duties
  • To send service communications; marketing only where you opt in or as otherwise allowed by law (you may unsubscribe)

Sharing

We share data with processors who help us run the service, including PayFast, email delivery providers, hosting (e.g. Cloudflare), and our operations systems. They may only process data on our instructions and under appropriate agreements. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention & your rights

We keep records as long as needed for the customer relationship, dispute handling and legal retention. You may request access, correction or deletion (subject to legal exceptions) by emailing [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe we have mishandled your information.

Cookies

The marketing site is primarily static. Essential cookies or similar technologies may be set by Cloudflare or embedded processors at checkout. We do not run invasive third-party advertising trackers on codexaholdings.com as of the date above.

12. Payment security

Card payments are processed by PayFast, which maintain PCI DSS compliant environments for card data. Checkout pages are served over HTTPS. Never email full card numbers to us. If you suspect unauthorised use of your payment method in connection with a Codexa purchase, contact your bank and email us immediately.

14. Governing law, disputes & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any non-excludable consumer rights you may have in your place of residence.
